“Why is energy efficiency important?”, “How can I save energy at home?” or “Do we really consume that much energy?”. These are some of the questions that TRIBE’s specialist had to answer during the two activities organized in Zaragoza to promote energy efficiency among students.
The Spanish partners CIRCE and Zaragoza Vivienda, in close collaboration with the Azucarera High School, celebrated two workshops that gathered more than 150 of its students.
The first one took place in the facilities of the Azucarera High School on December 14th, and the second one in a public exhibition centre of Zaragoza the following day.
In both of them, researchers from CIRCE presented the main goals and activities of TRIBE project in an educative way. Specially, students were introduced to the field of energy efficiency in public buildings by means of the TRIBE videogame and the 250 energy efficiency measures gathered by the project.
Students showed great interest in this topic, and several questions were answered and discussed regarding both the videogame and the energy efficiency measures. In addition, they were able to know the role that their high school is playing within TRIBE and how their behavior can improve the energy performance of their building.
The events also counted with the participation of the Director of the Azucarera High School, several teachers, representatives from Zaragoza Vivienda and two officers of the Education Department of Zaragoza City Council.
