1.4.7 Appropriate orientation of the work place

This measure consists in orienting the workplace to maximize the use of natural light and ensuring that no glare occurs. The most suitable option is by letting the light arrive sideway to the workplace.

  • It is possible to get a more pleasant working environment

  • If glare is avoided, the closing of curtains, blinds or other items which block out the sunlight is consequently avoided

  • There will not be need of using artificial light

  • It is closely related to the location of windows, skylights and other natural light entrance, thus its potential is limited by the initial design of the building
